The Last Time.

I feel your body go limp in my arms,

last words of “I Love you” caught in my throat,

Your body is light yet heavy and weary,

It’s just an empty shell, but used to be mine!

Its hard to except this cavity in my arms, The beautiful soul that’s been lost,

Oh! and it hurts to believe you are gone!

The gaping hole in my chest, It bleeds and it bleeds for you to come back,

Just one movement! Please!

But your gone.

This is the last time I hold your face in my hands,

I look upon its magnificence,

Oh how i’ll miss your face,

How it smiled,

How your eyes twinkled with joy!

I don’t WANT TO LET GO what is rightfully MINE!

But now your gone,

Their telling me it’s time to let go.

How it agonized me to feel your skin one last time!

We dig up a hole and we set you inside,

We rest your arms and your head for your long restful sleep,

And we dropped in the dirt,

Moments leaking away for the last time,

I see your face.

The last memory of you,

The last hope you’ll come back,

Oh how it hurts,

Knowing this is,

The very last time,

I see your face.
